London Loves Britpop Special!

It's 10 years since Blur and Oasis slugged it out in that rather ludicrous chart battle between Country House and Roll With It. What a load of piffle it was, but what tremendous fun! To commemorate this legendary event, London Loves is planning a special version of our monthly adventure into indie, soul and rock n roll.

Wanna come to London Loves: 10-Year Anniversary Britpop Special? Read on:

Date: Sat 6th August, 8pm-1am

Venue: Push Bar, 93 Dean Street

Playlist: the usual exquisite selection, but this time expect a heavy mid-90's bias. Lots of the bands you might expect, but not necessarily the obvious tracks: Charlatans, Black Grape, Sleeper, Marion, Radiohead, Bluetones, Supergrass, Boo Radleys, Pulp, Gene, Elastica, Ash, Shed 7 and plenty of others I can’t remember right now. Of course, there might be a smidgen of Blur and Oasis too.

Damage: £5, or £4 with flyer/NUS/print out of this page/some kind of evidence that you haven't just wandered in off the street.

OR

£3 if you come dressed for the occasion. Any kind of britpop t-shirt will do, or dig out your old adidas top/trainers for that authentic mid-90's look. This is purely at our discretion but we'll be nice if you've made some kind of effort. Indeed, the best dressed punter (or maybe just the best t-shirt) will be rewarded with life membership of London Loves. Yes, really.
