News

Thanks to everyone who came along this month. In terms of my own personal enjoyment, it was the best ever. The punters were wonderful, requesting lots of songs that are very special to me, and as such, it became a bit more shamelessly Britpop than it usually is (yeah, right!).

I'd like to send out a special thank-you to all the bloggers who have supported us over the past eighteen months - you've all been utterly magnificent. Em summed it up best: "I love this place, it's like listening to music in your bedroom, only there's a bar, and all your mates are here". That's exactly what I want it to be like.

The next London Loves is, ridiculously, the very first Saturday in January - the seventh. Happily enough, it's also London Loves regularly Sarah's birthday, so every song played will be one that we know she loves. Happily, her taste in music is, pretty much, the London Loves playlist. Which would explain why she's a regular. We're not expecting too many people to make it, so please do come along if you can - it promises to be something of a private party.

The only other thing of interest is to say the third annual Team Music Awards will take place sometime in January too. Who will win best album? Which million-selling pop act will Euan describe as 'over-looked' just because their single only got to number seven? Who will be the act that most encapsulates the spirit of team in 2005?

And finally - here, exceedingly belatedly, is what myself and Matty B plays at this month's triumphant London Loves. It feels like ages since the event in question, so I can hardly remember anything I played. Geoff, if you're out there, let me know what I'm missing, seeing as you're my memory as well as my conscience.

Happy Christmas and an Oasis New Year to you all.

Well it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me

Alright, maybe not a year. Anyway, thanks to all who came to London Loves on December 3 for our advent party. The place was packed, and the coat-stand took something of a beating. Next one is on January 7, same time, same place.

London Loves. January 7, 2006. Push Bar (93 Dean Street, W1), 8pm till late.

Merry Christmas, all, and let's hope next year's a good one.
