The Fallen
Did you come to London Loves over the weekend? No? You missed a good one, then. We had it all: a big overflowing stack of coats in the cloakroom, a party of 20 Hungarians who were expecting some sort of world music club, er, alcohol...Anyway, here's Denny's setlist:
ONE
My Girl - Jesus and Mary Chain
Spirit in the Sky - Blind Boys of Alabama
Tears on my Pillow - Clem Snide
Toi L'Ami - Richard Anthony
Close to Me - M
Toxic Radio - Chikinki
The Life and Times of the Clerkenwell Kid - The Real Tuesday Weld
Pretty Vacant - The Delltones
Don't Go Breaking My Heart - ODB and Macy Gray
Oliver's Army - Blur
Here Comes Your Man - Teenage Fanclub
It's Not Unusual - Belly
TWO
Razorlight - Somewhere Else
Oasis - Columbia (Live in New York)
Franz Ferdinand - The Fallen
(At this point a guy comes up and asks: "Do you have any Arabic music?" Er, no, sorry, I tell him. "Why not?")
Josephine - Terrorvision
Sexcrime (Nineteen Eighty-Four) - Eurythmics
Come Out 2Nite - Kenickie
He's So Fine - The Chiffons
Please Mr Postman - The Carpenters
The Name Game - Shirley Ellis
The Rhythm of Life - Diana Ross with the Temptations

March?? It can't be......
We're back on Saturday! Are you suffering from any of the following symptoms:
-Tension headache?
-Shortness of breath?
-Irritability?
-An unexplained darkness at the very heart of your soul?
-Waking up in the middle of the night shouting "PUSH BAR"
-Feeling a slight sexual thrill whenever you read or hear the word
"London" or "Loves"
Well, suffer no longer! Or rather, suffer for 3 more days and then gorge yourself on London's finest indie-pop experience! Get there before 9.30pm and pay just £2 entry! We're cutting our own throats, but we do it for you because we love you. After 9.30 the price rises to a barely noticeable £4. Our children may starve, but what do you care, you filthy indie-hungry maniac. Still not enough for you? Well, if you're lucky there might be sweets available on the door. If we remember to get any.
LONDON LOVES: SATURDAY 4 MARCH at the Push bar
It's the same time, same place, with oodles of indie, soul, rock and
roll: this Saturday, 4 March, from 8.00 until late, at the Push bar, 93 Dean
Street, W1.
